EZ On - EZ Off! Putting on or removing these Engine Guard Chaps takes less 60 seconds! Slip them over your highway bars, snap them, and you're set. Remove them by unsnapping them and sliding off your bars. These crash bar chaps roll up tightly and easily to be stowed in your saddlebag.
Designed for your Specific Bike and Crash Bars
These are NOT one-size fits all products, they're designed for specific motorcycles AND for specific brands of engine guards (crash bars or highway bars). Each side of Chilhowee engine guard chaps have identical front and back leather pieces that have 2 - 3 heavy duty snaps, and they come pre-laced together with thick, strong full-grain lacing for a rugged, uniform look. Once you have slipped the chaps over each side of the engine guard, the sides are secured by two (2) 3/4 inch weather resistant webbing straps, connected by sturdy black polypropylene quick side release buckles.
Our Chaps Accommodate Foot Pegs
What if you have highway pegs mounted on your crash bars? No problem! Chilhowee Engine Guard chaps are designed with a subtle opening to accommodate all foot pegs.
You can add a single expandable pocket on the left side of your crash bar chaps. The pockets is located on the back side of the crash bar chaps facing you as you sit on the bike. The pocket dimensions are approximately 9" tall x 4-1/2" wide with 2" expandable gussets. Perfect for storing maps, a cell phone, sunglasses, and more!
"It's been a few months since I bought the engine guard chaps for my VTX 1800R. I wasn't able to use them until after most of the snow melted. In late March I rode from the New York State Catskill Mountains to Tallahassee, Florida to visit family and friends. It was still chilly most days. I was caught in weather hardly suited for waterfowl on the way down. In all, the leather chaps held up very well despite the beating they took at the mercy of steady, sometimes torrential rain as well as the steady flow of traffic. The chaps did a superb job protecting my legs from the cold and the rain. I am including a picture of the bike, taken in between snowfalls last November. I have had many positive comments about the unique look of the chaps from riders and non-riders. I want to thank you for this fine functional and attractive product."

"Thanks for getting the Engine Guard Chaps to me in time for my trip to Florida...just got back this afternoon...rode in temperature from 35 to 85! I had one incident that prompts this email. I laid the bike down on a fog slicked exit ramp just below Savannah, GA. Luckily I had no damage to me or the bike since I had put on the engine guards and the Chilhowee engine guard chaps just before leaving. In fact, the chaps even protected the chrome finish on the guard. The only damage I sustained was one of the snaps on the chap broke. AWESOME!! Thanks!"

"I received my order in merely three days. Amazing. The engine guard chaps and tank bra have already been on the road. The chaps work very well. I immediately noticed a difference in the amount of wind against my legs. The items are exactly what I needed and they are quite handsome. Thanks for the extremely prompt handling of my order. I plan on taking some pics and sending you several very soon."
