Sleeves That Are Long Enough
The Mid-Weight Classic motorcycle jacket is tailored to fit you properly while in the riding position. This jacket is designed with shoulder expansion joints – that's a gusset where the back of the sleeve of the jacket joins the shoulder - that allows greater forward arm mobility. And the sleeves are long enough for wrist coverage when your arms are extended and are gripping the handlebars.

A zip out Thinsulate liner provides a warm layer of warmth for cold-weather riding. Thinsulate is one and a half times the warmth of down and nearly twice the warmth of high loft fiberfill insulations when equal thicknesses are compared.

Why Is The Weight Of Leather Important When Choosing A Jacket?
It has to do with thickness, durability, and protection. The types of hide used in manufacturing a leather motorcycle jacket are available in different weights. You will notice that all of our leather product descriptions have a notation about leather weight. In the leather industry, leather thickness is typically specified in terms of weight. Every ounce of weight is equivalent to 1/64 thickness. The weight of leather is determined by the number of ounces that one square foot of material weighs. For example, if a square foot of leather weighs four ounces, it is called 4 oz leather. 4 oz leather is approximately 1/16-inch or 1.6 mm thick. The weights we list for our leather motorcycle jackets translate to a particular thickness of leather. A heavier weight means thicker leather and increased protection on the road. Thicker leather also means you’ll pay a little more for the quality. Protection and durability is worth the extra cost when buying a motorcycle jacket.
