Why Chilhowee Engine Guard Covers?

These rugged covers are made from heavy, thick (8 - 9 oz), full-grain genuine American Buffalo (Bison) hide. Buffalo hide is extremely durable and water resistant, with incredible grain character. Despite it's durability, the grain side of the hide is soft to the touch! Chilhowee uses the finest "chrome-on-brass" and black "Road King" studs to eliminate the possibility of rust or discoloration. Don't settle for inferior studs!

Used on your engine guard, our covers not only dress up your ride, they serve to protect your engine guard from being scraped and damaged if your bike ever falls over. Each Buffalo Engine Guard Cover is 4" wide and fits standard 1.25" frames and engine guards. They arrive complete with two thick full-grain laces and detailed instructions. Lace them up in 10 minutes and you're on the road!

Fade Protection: We pre-treat our leather hides with 303 Aerospace Protectant before shipping to help prevent fading from the sun's UV rays and make them highly water, dirt, and oil-resistant! With regular use, it prevents up to 100% of fading caused by the sun. A small bottle of 303 Aerospace Protectant will keep all your leather from turning brown in the sun.
